St Moritz Guide
At 1800m, St. Moritz is found on the southern side of the Swiss Alps. Located on a beautiful lake, it has made the Engadin known as the “festival hall of the Alps”. With fantastic snow, plenty of sunshine and a stunning location, it makes it a popular spot in both winter and summer alike. Piz Bernina is the only 4000m mountain in the eastern Alps (4,049 m. altitude). Piz Palü, Piz Corvatsch, Corviglia and Diavolezza are among its other well-known peaks and skiing areas.
St Moritz Mountain Guides
Experts are a little limited on piste, but there’s great off-piste potential on Piz Nair and Corvatsch, and a spectacular run at Diavolezza. Unlike in France, Heli-skiing is an option here too providing even more access to fresh powder. Ski touring in St Moritz is also available and like the off-piste skiing we recommend that you hire a mountain guide if you lack the skill, local knowledge or confidence to head away from the marked pistes due to the ever present dangers that exist in the mountains.
